Ms. Campoli's most recent book,
Visualizing Density (created with aerial photographer Alex MacLean), addresses the need for density in future developments. It combines an illustrated manual of how to plan and design "good" density with a catalog of images showing the density of over 250 American neighborhoods. Visualizing Density was named by Choice magazine as an Outstanding Academic Title of 2007 and one of the Top 10 Books for 2008 by PLANetizen.

Above and Beyond: Visualizing Change in Small Towns and Rural Areas (with Elizabeth Humstone and Alex MacLean) illustrates, through aerial photography and other graphic techniques, how contemporary development practices are altering the landscape of rural places.

Ms. Campoli also authored the  Visualizing Density website an interactive source of information on the topic of residential density. It was named on of the top ten web sites of 2007 by PLANetizen. She is currently at work on a companion addition of Visualizing Density, showing density at the street level.
